African Harrier-hawk or previously known as Gymnogne. This is an immature bird part way through it juvenile to adult moult.We came across this particular character one afternoon on the Chobe River. He or she was busy pillaging a bird’s nest and pulling out the chicks one by one and eating them. This bird is a nomad and its main food is chicks, eggs, reptiles and small mammals. The amazing thing about this bird is its double-jointed leg joint which allows it to gain access to all sorts of weird and wonderful places to access food.Its main
