This was one of the few occasions when the perspective looking down on the Giraffe worked. The shot was taken in the Borokalao National Park.
A large bull Giraffe was walking up from the river in Borokalalo making his way towards some big trees behind us which must have looked tasty.
Other hosts can be very big. A small flock of Red-billed oxpeckers do a fine cleaning job on the Giraffe bull’s neck.

There are quite a few Giraffe in Borokolalo. We came slowly around a corner to be greeted by these five Giraffe.
This young female Giraffe had the attentions of two young male Giraffes and quite a few Red-billed Oxpeckers. The shot was taken along the banks of the Chobe River.
Always wait for the Giraffe to flick its head as it gets up after drinking. The water usually makes a interesting addition to the shot.

Driving out of Mashatu around midday these two Giraffe, mother and calf, were resting in the shade.
These two young giraffe blended in with the Mopani tree colouring that it was only when they put their heads up did we see them while driving in Mashatu Game Reserve.
This Giraffe bull was clearly interested. His girlfriend was more interested in have a drink from an inlet in the bank along the Chobe River.
This lone Giraffe came down to drink late on afternoon from the Chobe River just downstream of the Chobe Game Lodge.
