- Beautiful colouring of the White-faced Whistling duck. Ubiquitious but I never get tired of photographing them. Their whistling call is so distinctive and one of those memorable sounds in the African bush.

- Yellow-billed duck on one of the dams at the Country Club Johannesburg. The course manager allowed me to photography the waterfowl at the dam as long as I did not distract the golfers. This course has a plethora of birds. A sanctuary within a heavily built up area.

- This male South African Shelduck was flying into battle. It was heading straight for the Guineafowl at the far end of the waterhole. The reason for the aggression as we found out later were four chicks.
